The High Mountains of Lönndörren - Lönndörrsfjällen 1999

This is a short picture story from our trip to the high mountains of Lönndörren, which took place in the end of August 1999. The five of us, Johan, Kalle, Ulf, Martin S and myself (also Martin) got in to Martin S overloaded Volvo S70. Luckily enough we had access to a topbox and we did not have to leave anything at home.

	About halfways we stopped for a coffeebreak in Sälen. Quite nice weather, warm enough to sit outside.
After the coffee we continued the journey, and eventually got to Flatruet, Swedens highest located main road.
	The futher we drove, the worse the weather got. The roads were not the best in Sweden either...
	Finally at Tossåsen where we left the car to continue by foot. This was our first distance, from this place to the Kroktjärnarna (Hook mere) where we camped the first night.
The first morning. Cloudy and rain in the air. Johan and Martin are making breakfast.
	After the breakfast it was time to check the maps for the days route. Behind the hill is our campsite, and the lake in the background is the same as on the next picture.
	This is the view from the "bathroom". Quite nice..?
This is from somewhere between Kroktjärnarna and the Lönndörr pass where there is a cabin (very small as it would show). The landscape is very flat as you can see from the picture.
	Lunchtime. We found a place where we got away from the wind, atleast a little bit.
Staxen found protection for the wind.
This is from after arriving to the cabin at Lööndörrs pass. IAfter taking off our backpacks we took a lookaround. The ground was very steep upwards, so a little rest were in place.
	Inside the Lönndörrs pass cabin. After a while we were accompanied by two gentlemen from Stockholm. Martin S shared the cabin with them while the rest of us almost blew away in the tents during the night.
Autobahn. The long walley was almost totally flat and very straight.

	Finally at Lönndörrsstugan(Lönndörr cottage). This is one of the few pictures with us all gathered.

Our campsite by the creek. A perfect place to camp at, with water only a few feet away. And moreover there were a already made fireplace.
On our way to the "Pyramids" we passed this ravine that was waterfilled. The picture is a little bit weird taken, but the purpose was to catch the colors.
The second morning at the creek. Our intention was to only sleep at the same place for one night but this place was so nice that we stayed for two.
The cottages on the picture are the Lönndörrstugan and midway between the two lakes is where we had our campsite.
	Passing a wooden cot (pinnkåta) on our "shortcut" towards Dörrsjön.
The Dörrsjön cabin. This cabin was much better than the one at Lönndörrs pass. Cleaner and above all, bigger. The fog started to appear.
	FOG, which made it hard to keep the right direction. This we learned the hard way...
